UPMC Rehabilitation Institute SCI Peer Support Group

UPMC Mercy
1400 Locust Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15219
4:30pm, 7E Gym
1st & 3rd Thursday of each month

Get support from peers who know where you are and now lead successful lives in the community at this unstructured, nonclinical social group for people with spinal cord injury.

We are fortunate to have so much support from former patients who are happy to be available to those who have recently been diagnosed with spinal cord injury. They can understand and respond to your daily life concerns because they experience life in a wheelchair. Your fears and anxiety are not foreign to them.

During the support group they will also be discussing a variety of topics such as Three Rivers Adaptive sports, the Pittsburgh Steel Wheelers, the adaptive ski program and wheelchair sports in general.

Please plan ahead for the 1st & 3rd Thursday of each month. There will always be a space and light snacks for you.

Parking is available in the parking garage directly across from the hospital between Forbes Avenue and Locust Street.
